Who are BIG Ministries?

Our heart is to serve the Church by offering high quality events that are God-focussed, relevant and challenging to children. We are a charitable organisation, based in the West Midlands (Birmingham to be precise). Traveling all over the country, we work in partnership with local churches to help to reach out, inspire and disciple children in their area.

We specialise in BIG Parties (a really cool worship service for kids! - aka Praise Party) on a variety of themes aimed at 7-11’s. BIG Parties are often complimented by the training we offer for children’s workers. This is our focus but we also offer children’s ministry on church weekends away, interactive all-age services, holiday clubs, workshops and more...

A BIG Party is a ‘high-energy’, interactive event normally including live music, games, puppets, Bible stories and workshops.

We offer training in: Faith Development of a Child; Leading Children’s Worship; Beginners Puppetry; Writing puppet scripts; Leading All-Age Worship; ‘Speaking Their Language’ (Learning Styles, Multimedia & the Arts), and more!

We really want to help you with the children you work with in your church/ group of churches, so if you have any specific needs then please contact us and we’ll see what we can do!

Who are BIG Ministries?

A word from Jo…

“I’m so excited to see how BIG Ministries has been growing and the fantastic team of people we have supporting the vision. I first got the ‘bug’ for leading children’s worship, and the idea for BIG Ministries, about 4 years ago when I was writing my dissertation on facilitating children’s worship (at London School of Theology). Since then I’ve got more and more passionate about seeing children worship in ways that are relevant to where they’re at, without ‘dumbing-down’ or compromising sound theology.

It’s great to see a group of children worshipping God, having so much fun, using so much energy (which we know they have plenty of!) and jumping around freely to praise Him. It’s equally as amazing to see a group of children beginning to grasp the concept of salvation for the first time, and start to understand how much God loves them.

Facilitating children in that is what BIG Ministries is all about...”

All members of the BIG Team are committed Christians who have a heart to see children live in relationship with God. Most of the team are young adults striving to be role models for children.
